Hello and Welcome to 1st Grade!
I’m so excited for another year at Packsaddle Elementary! My name is Hannah Moore and I will be your child’s first grade teacher this year. My goal for my classroom is to have a place of growing knowledge and acceptance. I am looking forward towards a successful year together.
I was raised in Burnet and attended Tarleton State University where I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education- Early Childhood through 6th grade and ESL (English as a Second Language). With both of my parents being educators, I was practically raised in the classroom and I look forward to many more years.
Teaching has always been a passion for me. I have a love for learning and it’s my goal for my students also to love learning as much as I do. By making my classroom a safe, fun and structured place for my students, I hope that they will enjoy coming to school and learning something new everyday. I feel that all children learn differently and require specific attention and affection for them to flourish. I will strive to be an educator who believes in each child that walks in my door and give each student not only an education, but also a passion to learn.
Here at packsaddle we have many strategies to help all children succeed. I highly suggest your child read aloud with a family member every night. To make this task the most beneficial, the books the children read should be of interest to them and should match their reading level. There will be plenty more information coming to you regarding this subject soon. I am looking forward to seeing the progress your child will make!
This year will definitely be a fun filled and busy school year. I believe that a successful year starts with an open communication line between parents and teachers. Please feel free to email or reach me through the school anytime you have ANY concerns!
