Dear Packsaddle Family,
Another school year begins with new staff, new goals and new challenges. As I begin my second year as the elementary principal of Packsaddle Elementary, I have been overwhelmed by the friendliness of the community and all those eager to help in any way possible. I feel that this is probably indicative of the year to come. We will face each day with an attitude of service, eager to make every child at Packsaddle Elementary successful.
The most important part of insuring our students are successful is the role the parent plays in their child’s education. Research indicates that students with involved parents, no matter what their income or background, are more likely to earn higher grades and test scores, attend school regularly, have better social skills and behavior and graduate and go on to post-secondary education. It is my personal goal as the principal of Packsaddle Elementary to focus on building trusting, collaborative relationships among teachers, families and community members. When parents talk to their children about school, expect them to do well, help them plan for college, and make sure that out-of-school activities are constructive; their children do better in school.
Read through the handbook carefully. It provides important and useful information regarding campus and district policies. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will do everything possible to help you. I look forward to a wonderful year as we work together to help your child succeed.
